Calendar Start Date: May 15th 2021

Dollar Rate of pay: starting $20-25 per hour (DOE)

Job Description: 

Riverside Adventures is looking for a guide / safety boater for the upcoming 2021 season.  This person will be tasked with customer safety on the river and as such will have the necessary experience and qualifications.  Some day to day activities of the guide/ safety boater include: before trip preparation, equipment checks, learning safety talk, aiding in the safe movement of customers on the rafts around the river features, collecting and washing gear used, participation in guide meetings, and learning from the more experienced guides on the team.  Wage depends on experience.

Requirements:

  • Wilderness First Aid 50hr (80hr preferred), OFA level 3 will also be considered
  • Valid class 5 drivers license (class IV preferred)
  • Supply your own river gear (pfd, helmet, river knife, throw bag, flip line, kayak, and cold weather apparel)
  • Strong kayak skills considered a huge asset but not necessary
  • Previous rafting experience also a huge asset but not necessary
  • We are willing to train the right person

Photo Kayaker

Job Description: 

Riverside Adventures is looking for a photo kayaker for the upcoming 2021 season.  This person will be tasked with taking pictures from certain key locations on the Clearwater and North Thompson Rivers.  With this task comes the requirement of high level kayaking skills and as always helping with customer safety on the river.  Some day to day activities of the photo kayaker include: Pre-trip gear check, Taking photos of guests experience from before getting on bus to end of trip, have photos ready for guests to view, help with after trip equipment organization, participation in guide meetings.  To our guests you are still a member of our guiding team and with that must always act accordingly.  Wage depends on experience.

Requirements:

  • Class IV and above kayaking skills
  • Supply your own river gear (pfd, helmet, river knife, throw bag, flip line, kayak, and cold weather apparel)
  • Previous photography skills a huge asset but not necessary

  • Valid WRT
